Does it hurt?

We have an on-site phlebotomist who is gentle and careful while drawing your blood.  You may feel a small initial prick which is the needle being inserted.  Drawing blood for a gender DNA blood test takes just a few seconds.

How early can a gender blood test be performed?

A gender blood test can now be performed starting at six weeks.  The test is designed to detect the absence or presence of the Y (male) chromosome in the blood.  A series of blind studies indicate that the gender DNA test is 99.5% accurate.

How long before I receive the results?

You will receive your results via email quickly from the lab in just 4-7 business days after your blood draw.  If you are planning a gender reveal, we highly recommend giving yourself 10-14 days for the results (results emailed directly to you in 4-7 business days). Pay an extra $50 for fast 2 business day results.

Should I also get a gender determination 2D ultrasound?

That is up to you.  We do offer a Peek-A-Boo 2D Gender Determination Ultrasound for just $75 beginning at 12 weeks with 95-99% accuracy to find out baby’s gender, confirm your due date, and check the size of your little one! Get unlimited pictures of your baby in 2D texted to you. Twins Extra $50.  After 16 weeks, baby’s gender is 100% accurate.
