These are memories that you will cherish for a lifetime.
FAQ
General
Why should I choose View A Miracle?
View A Miracle is owned and operated by Kayla Gipson, a registered sonographer by the ARDMS since 1995. She uses her extensive experience and training to obtain the highest quality images that technology has to offer.
Is the ultrasound safe for me and my baby?
“Ultrasounds were around when I was pregnant with my daughter in the ’90s. It caught my attention enough to make a change in careers and go back to ultrasound school. When my first grandchild was in the womb, I personally scanned my daughter weekly! We have a ‘Watch Me Grow’ poster in the office with the weekly images I took. I would not have put my daughter and unborn grandson at risk if I had any doubt in my mind of the lack of safety”- Sonographer /Owner Kayla. It’s now standard prenatal care to receive at least one ultrasound during your pregnancy. Numerous studies over the past 75 years have failed to demonstrate any harmful effects from ultrasound. If you have any concerns about safety, we urge you to speak with your physician prior to making an appointment.
What is your policy?
During your appointment at View A Miracle, if we are unable to obtain images of your baby’s face, you will have the option to come back in 1 to 2 weeks for free (DOES NOT APPLY TO OUR SPECIALS). We will make every effort to obtain the best possible photos of your little one. Unfortunately, if the baby still does not cooperate after the second time, you will still be charged.
Will I be able to find out the gender of my baby?
You can now come as early as 12 weeks to find out the sex of your baby! We will be between 95% and 99% accurate from 12 to 16 weeks. At 16 weeks we are 100% accurate. If you desire to know the gender as soon as possible in our studio, we would be happy to share the news with you. However, if you do not wish to know the baby’s gender and rather be surprised, we will not take the measures to see the baby’s genitalia in the necessary angles and views at all. Keep in mind, that if you have not had an ultrasound with the pregnancy, you will need to do the pregnancy confirmation.
“My husband and I absolutely loved our experience! I am 14.5 weeks pregnant and we came in with our family for the gender reveal and it was perfect! Everyone in our family how amazing it was to see our little boy in 3D/4D!!! Definitely going back when I am further along!” -Courtney
What if you cannot get the gender?
Our sonographer has been performing gender determination scans for over two decades. She is highly skilled and trained for determining the sex of your baby as early as 12 weeks based on her experience in ultrasounds. She has numerous ways of trying to get your baby into the proper position for the scan. In the slightest event that we are unable to obtain the gender due to positioning or development of your baby at 16 weeks, we will reschedule you to come back in 1-2 weeks. You will not be charged until we can tell you the gender of your baby. This only applies if you are 16 weeks or further.
“View A Miracle is awesome! I was there twice with my daughter and twice with this pregnancy already. With my daughter I went at 12 weeks and were told we were having a girl. I went again at 12 weeks last night and was told we were having a boy. Kayla is awesome! Thank you View A Miracle!” -Lindsey J.
“Facility is so clean and comfy, everyone is super nice. We loved our scan at 16 weeks. We found out we were having twin girls and couldn’t be happier. Kayla was very patient when one of the girls refused to show her private area (classy lady I have lol). Took about 10 minutes and a lot of different positions but we got it!! Can’t wait to go back soon for another scan of my girls!!!” -Cristina”
What is 5D ultrasound?
HD Ultrasound, also known as HDLIVE Ultrasound or 5D Ultrasound, offers the highest quality, clearest possible images of your baby. Traditional 2D Ultrasound allows for a black and white, two-dimensional image. Once 3D Ultrasound came along, we could show you a three-dimensional color image. 4D Ultrasound then changed the game by capturing color, three-dimensional video. Now, HD Ultrasound can do what was only dreamed of just a decade ago – capture crystal clear, live images of your baby in utero.
HDLIVE Ultrasound does an amazing job of capturing your baby’s every movement, including facial expressions. Some parents-to-be have been able to see their baby smile and even make a “cooing” type expression!
Still on the fence about HD Ultrasound? Here is what some of our clients have to say:
“I visited View A Miracle for both a gender reveal at 15 weeks and a 5D Ultrasound at 32 weeks. Each time I went I left so happy. Words can’t describe the feeling of getting to find out baby’s gender early and getting to see your little one’s face for the first time. I would recommend them to anyone. They really care about getting the best pictures possible and they offer so much more than just sonograms. Totally worth the hour and thirty-minute drive there and back for us.”– Erica Roberts
“Cathy and Kayla were absolutely wonderful! We got 2D, 3D, 4D and 5D Ultrasound pictures and they are STUNNING. Kayla showed us everything from the heartbeat to the gender! We felt extremely welcomed and overjoyed when we left with so many pictures and gifts from their store. They even emailed us all the pictures and there were a ton. It was amazing and we will definitely be going again during my pregnancy. I highly recommend people coming here not just for a gender reveal, but for everything that goes along with the visit.”– Amanda Gant”
“At 16 weeks my husband surprised me with a gender reveal here and it was amazing. I found out we were having a girl four weeks before I expected to! I also purchased a heartbeat animal and I sleep with it every night. We are planning to go back at 30 weeks for the 5D Ultrasound and cannot wait!”– Erica Hyltona”
How far do I have to be to do the Gender DNA?
You will need to be at least 7 weeks. This will need to be confirmed by ultrasound, which we will perform at the office the same day as your appointment. If you are planning a gender reveal, we highly recommend giving yourself 10-14 days for the results (results emailed directly to you in 4-7 business days). Pay an extra $50 for fast 2 business day results. The results are 99.5% accurate. If you are having twins, it will only tell you if their is a Y chromosome, therefore you could be having 2 boys are 1 boy and 1 girl.
Appointments
Do I need an appointment?
Yes, sessions are by appointment only. We have evening and weekend appointments available but fill fast. Don’t wait; schedule your appointment TODAY online.
When is the best time to schedule my 4D ultrasound?
You can schedule your ultrasound appointment between 6-40 weeks into your pregnancy. However, the best time we recommend for the 4D is between 28 and 30 weeks. At this time, the baby has well-defined facial features and still plenty of room to move around. Also, if you wish to have more than one session to document the different stages of your pregnancy, we can set up the appointments for you in advance. Having twins? We recommend 22 – 24 weeks. Don’t wait; schedule your appointment TODAY online.
How soon should I book my appointment?
We recommend 3 to 4 weeks in advance, so that we can accommodate your schedule. If you are flexible in your schedule, we can usually get you within the next two days. Don’t wait; schedule your appointment TODAY online.
How long does it take?
It depends on the package you choose as well as the position of the baby. Please allow about 30 minutes for the entire process. However, IF the baby is not in the optimal viewing position, it may take up to an hour. If the baby is in a bad position, we will ask you to walk around and drink water before bringing you back into the room.
Can family and friends come too?
Yes! We encourage you to bring friends, family, and/or siblings. This is a great opportunity for everyone to bond with the baby before it is born. We do not allow food or drinks in our facility, so please plan accordingly. You can also opt to Facetime or Skype from your own device during your ultrasound session with anyone that was unable to attend. Images will be texted to a phone number of your choosing so you will have digital access. Please check our Facebook page and website banner for any current COVID restrictions in place.
Would my insurance company cover this service?
No. This is an elective ultrasound and is not covered by your medical insurance. We gladly accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, AND Discover.
Pictures
Will I always get a perfect picture of my baby?
Many factors affect the quality of the images (fetal position, amount of amniotic fluid, amount of maternal tissue). We promise to make every effort to obtain the best possible images of your baby. If the baby remains uncooperative through your session it may be necessary to repeat the scan at a later time when the position has changed (Unfortunately we do not offer re-scans for free with our Specials). We want you to be happy with the quality of your product and encourage you to share any concerns with us prior to leaving your session.
What factors determine the quality of my images?
There are several factors. These include fetal position, maternal body habitus and fetal activity. The most crucial factor is having enough amniotic fluid in front of the baby’s face; the more fluid, the better the image. We do our best to obtain the highest quality images. Please drink plenty of water before your appointment and refrain from using the restroom.
What happens if you are unable to get any images?
If the baby is in a bad position, we will ask you to walk around and drink water before bringing you back into the room. If we are unable to get images of the baby’s face, due to fetal position, we will reschedule a 2nd try session within 1 to 2 weeks at no additional charge (does not apply to our Specials). IF we are unable to obtain any images at the second visit, unfortunately you will be charged the full price. We will make every attempt to get you images of your little one.
