We are continuing our series which discusses the elements behind obtaining the most vivid and vibrant 3D/4D ultrasound and HD LIVE ultrasound images of your baby.  Our previous article covered factors that cannot be controlled including where the placenta is attached and your baby’s position in the womb.  Today, we will take a look at some of the elements that you can control.  Let’s take a look:

Amniotic Fluid

The best way to promote the clarity of your baby’s 3D/4D ultrasound and HD Live ultrasound images is to ensure there is an abundance of amniotic fluid, especially around your baby’s face. Amniotic fluid is influenced by your hydration levels. It is imperative that you drink plenty of water during the weeks prior to your appointment and on the day of your appointment.  We also encourage you to refrain from using the restroom until after your 3D/4D ultrasound and/or HD Live ultrasound is performed.

Sonographer Skills

The industry is flooded with untrained and inexperienced sonographers, which is why so many parents-to-be are disappointed in their 3D/4D ultrasound and/or HD LIVE ultrasound images.  Our sonographer has been registered with ARDMS for over 30 years and takes numerous continuing education trainings throughout the year. Having a skilled sonographer is not only important when it comes to obtaining 3D/4D ultrasound and HD LIVE ultrasound images, but also when making gender determination.  You definitely want a trained, skilled, registered sonographer to perform all of your ultrasounds.
