Why Should I Get a 2D, 3D/4D or 5D/HD LIVE Ultrasound?

2D vs. 3D/4D vs. 5D/HD LIVE Ultrasounds

A traditional 2D ultrasound uses soundwaves to generate a black and white thermal image of your baby inside your womb. Technology has advanced to where it is now possible to capture much more detailed color photos and/or USB recording of your baby in utero. 3D ultrasound captures full color images.  You will see your baby’s features and sometimes even his/her facial expressions.  4D technology is watching your baby move in real time. The USB recording of your session is a video you can playback for years to come which captured the 4D experience.  Some clients have witnessed their baby moving, turning and even sucking their thumb.  5D/HD LIVE is the latest technology which allows for even clearer more life-like images of your baby while still in utero. The ideal time for your 3D/4D or 5D/HD LIVE ultrasound session is between the 26th-32rd weeks. Having twins? It is recommended to come earlier between your 22nd – 24th week in pregnancy when the babies can more easily move into better positions for imaging.

We will respect your wishes as to whether or not you want to know the gender of your baby.  We can determine whether you are having a boy or a girl now as early as 6 weeks through DNA blood work with 99.5% accuracy. If you desire to find out baby’s gender through 2D ultrasound, between 12-15 weeks baby’s gender is 95-99% accurate.  We can definitely determine your baby’s gender by week 16 with 100% accuracy.  Some clients who want to know the sex of their baby invite friends and family for a gender reveal party.
